The Murphy Institute of Political Economy and the Department of Economics at Tulane University invite applications for one full-time tenure-track position, most likely at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2019. Applicants should have primary research and teaching interests in microeconomic theory, as applied specifically to issues in political economy. Preference will be given to applicants who also have interests in fields where the department has existing strengths and is focusing its graduate programs (health and labor economics; inequality and poverty; the economics of education; and public economics).

The School of Commerce at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), invite postulants to fill a full-time Junior Professor position (“Associate Category at PUCV”) mainly in the field of Accounting and Auditing.

The Escuela de Comercio is one of the oldest in the country, and has established itself as one of the best accounting programs in the country, it has the highest national and international accreditation by “Comisión Nacional de Acreditación-Chile”. It promotes an environment that excels in teaching, research and praxis.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should be an Accountant Auditor, Public Accountant, Engineer in information and control of management or similar professional university title, holding a Doctoral degree or in the final phase of their doctoral studies (deposited thesis), and with strong methodological background and research interests. Additionally, fluent written and spoken Spanish and English languages are expected.

Applicants must certify in the field of Accounting or Auditing: teaching experience, development in research (indexed publications as ISIWoS/Scopus), and in competitive projects in the area of their competence, desirable business and professional experience, relationship with national and international research networks, intermediate level written and spoken Spanish and English languages.
